History
1961 | Brian G. Holmes Limited (now Brigholme Interiors Group) is incorporated under the laws of Ontario by its founding principals, Brian Holmes and Clifford Haughton.
1963-64 | Ralph Wilson becomes president and owner.
1966-67 | A.E. LePage Ltd., and Ralph Wilson become joint owners. Howard MacDonald arrives as C.F.O. Together these partners are highly successful in planning, leasing, designing and furnishing space in the first tower of the Toronto Dominion Centre development. Growth during this inventive and evolutionary period establishes a significant recognition and reputation for Brigholme in the office furnishings industry.
1970 | Howard MacDonald and Ralph Wilson repurchase ownership from A.E. LePage Ltd.
1980 | Jim Minor joins Brigholme as General Manager of Trade Office Products.
1981 | Brigholme becomes a dealer for Haworth Inc., one of the largest contract furniture manufacturers in the world. Haworth products rapidly become the majority of furniture sales and growth.
1988 | Howard MacDonald becomes President and Jim Minor Executive Vice President. They also assume joint ownership of the company.
1989 | Brigholme Business Furnishings becomes new trading name for Brian G. Holmes Ltd.
1994 | Brigholme receives Haworth Preferred Dealership designation.
1999 | Relocation to current address providing new and expanded corporate facilities for continuing growth.
2000 | Brigholme becomes the largest Canadian Haworth dealership. Sales surpass $25 million.
2001 | Completes largest project to date: the relocation of 4000 people to two nine-storey towers, with space for anticipated growth to over 6000 people.
2003 | Enters into the top 25 of North America’s 300+ Haworth dealerships
2004 | Brigholme Interiors Group becomes new trading name for Brigholme Inc.
2005 | Enters into the top 10 of North America’s 300+ Haworth dealerships
2007 | Brigholme expands their service offering with a Cabling & Wireless division
2008 | Joe Williams named President
